🚨 Shipping Advisory: Order Early, Ship Early! 🚨

Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, we're taking proactive measures to ensure your gifts arrive on time. In 2018, Canada Post experienced rotating strikes, which still caused significant delays across the country. This time, the situation is worse—a full strike means no deliveries are taking place at all. Depending on how long the strike lasts, the outcome could result in even greater delays than before, with growing backlogs that may take weeks—or longer—to clear.

Historically, even short disruptions led to unpredictable delivery times—some packages reached Toronto in 2 days, while others took up to 3 weeks. As the holiday season approaches, carriers like FedEx, UPS, Purolator, and Canpar often impose daily shipping limits, making timely deliveries even more challenging.

Our Best Advice:

  • Order now and request immediate shipping. This is the most reliable way to ensure your gifts arrive on time.
  • If you choose to delay shipping, we cannot guarantee what delays will arise in December. Due to the strike's uncertainty and increased demand on alternate carriers delays are possible.

We all want the same thing: for your gifts to arrive in time for Christmas. If you’re worried about early delivery, we can add a “Surprise! Do Not Open Until Christmas” sticker to your package. Rest assured, all our gift baskets are shelf-stable, do not require refrigeration, and will last for several months.

Important Note About Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds:

Once an order is placed, we can only make changes within 30 minutes of placement. After this time:

  • We cannot adjust, cancel, or refund orders.
  • All Christmas sales are final.

For example, if you request delivery for the week of December 16 and later decide you want it shipped sooner, we will not be able to adjust your order. Please double-check your details before placing an order to avoid disappointment.

Fun Fact: The Math Behind Missed Deliveries

Did you know Canada Post employs over 25,000 letter carriers and delivery drivers? On an average day, each carrier works an 8-hour shift. During just one day of a strike, that’s a staggering 200,000 hours of delivery time lost nationwide!

Each additional strike day multiplies this number, creating an ever-growing backlog. For example, after just five days, that’s 1 million hours of delivery time missed. With the holiday season fast approaching and Black Friday sales adding to the parcel volume, every hour counts—and delays can snowball rapidly.

To avoid getting caught in the chaos, we strongly recommend ordering early and opting for immediate shipping. Every day of delay means more packages piling up, making it harder for carriers to catch up once the strike ends.

Thank you for your understanding and for trusting us with your holiday gifting. 💝 Together, we can make sure your gifts arrive safely and on time!
